Think.Model.Learn.™ Math Center – Grades 2-3 – Place Value

This standards-aligned center, designed by teachers, promotes deep mathematical thinking and concept modeling through group engagement. With enough materials for up to six students, it supports Cognitively Guided Instruction, encouraging students to choose problem-solving strategies that make sense to them while engaging in hands-on activities and gamified learning. Students will spin to generate numbers, write their responses, model concepts with hands-on tools, and practice rounding numbers—all in an interactive, engaging format. Skill differentiation is built-in, offering two levels of play with simple, shared instructions. The center is inclusive, accommodating various learning styles, and features downloadable Spanish instructions and dual-language activity mats to support language learners.
