This heartfelt MLK-inspired craft reminds students that big dreams start small, just like flowers that bloom with care and hope. Children paint and decorate 3D tulips to celebrate growth, unity, and the power of nurturing change. A wonderful classroom project for MLK Day or spring lessons focused on empathy and inspiration.

How to Create:
1.) Paint the wooden tulip pieces in shades of green for the stem and pink, red, or brown tones for the petals.
2.) Use Colors Like Me™ markers to add soft blended details that symbolize diversity and togetherness.
3.) Once dry, assemble the tulip by sliding the pieces together to form a 3D flower.
4.) Tie a small bow of twine or ribbon around the stem for a finished touch. (optional)
5.) Display the flowers as a “Garden of Dreams” to represent each student’s unique hopes for the future.
